Expansion to Support Demand for SAP S/4HANA Conversions

SNP AUSTRALIA PTY LTD are announcing further expansion in the ANZ market to meet the demand of businesses switching to SAP’s S/4HANA. Paul Swain joins Marcus Scott as co-Managing Director from the start of 2020. Paul is an SAP veteran of 22 years. He was appointed to lead SAPs GTM for S/4HANA in 2016 and owned the S/4HANA MOVE program.

Paul has been close to the challenges that ANZ customers have faced in deciding how or if to move to S/4HANA.

“ANZ has a good representation of customers already enjoying the benefits of S/4HANA. Still, many CIOs and CFO’s I met while at SAP could not see the business case to move to S/4HANA. Overblown early project estimates and a perception of high risk and disruption put these customers off. This created a log jam in the local market. That’s now breaking open as we see customer successes like Coles. Our local partner Acclimation involved us to take them safely to S/4HANA and into the Cloud in 5 months by using the the Business Transformation Platform CrystalBridge™ and our BLUEFIELD™ Approach.”

Marcus Scott (Managing Director SNP AUSTRALIA PTY LTD): SNP challenges traditional approaches to S/4HANA transformation projects. Up to now, companies have mainly relied on the two traditional approaches Greenfield (new implementation) and Brownfield (conversion of existing systems). With the BLUEFIELD™ approach, SNP has developed a migration path that combines the strengths of Greenfield and Brownfield.

The BLUEFIELD™ approach reduces risk as well accelerating project timelines. “We are already seeing some SIs struggling to build capacity to deal with the projects they have, let alone what’s coming. SNP automation eases that bottleneck” Moving to the cloud, upgrading to S/4HANA and cleaning, migrate and update business-critical and sensitive data in a single go-live project with SNP.

SNP is continuing to add to the list of global and local partners that are certified to use CrystalBridgeTM -the Business Transformation Platform in End-to-End Scenariosand the BLUEFIELD™ approach.

Paul says: “SAP has given customers some good news with the extension of standard support of business suite until 2027. This will be a relief for some but should not be the main factor on when or if to move. The business case for S/4HANA will now be more compelling with the reduction in cost and risk so why delay the benefits any longer than necessary?”.
